The PIC Families Group was formed in October 2009 to provide a forum to:

• Develop research projects on aspects of patient and public involvement within the paediatric intensive care service

• Ensure that the research outcome will enhance and support the experience of the child and family

• Facilite the monitoring of appropriate Standards of the Paediatric Intensive Care Society

The PIC Families Group includes representatives from PICANet, PICU Nursing and Medical Staff and Lay Representatives who may be carers or patients.
