As you may be aware, PICANet scheduled a period of database downtime on 21/02/2019 to apply some essential security updates the database servers. Whilst we would have liked to avoid this time of year when users are busy preparing their data for the data freeze at the end of March, unfortunately the upgrades needed to be implemented by the end of March to ensure compliance with NHS Digital’s new Data Security and Protection Toolkit.
The security update was successful, however, it introduced some compatibility issues which limited the ability of users to save and upload records and has resulted in a prolonged downtime.
