We will take the PICANet Web database offline on the afternoon of Thursday 15 February to incorporate the Extra Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) data collection for the PICUs undertaking this. We will also activate the validation of the delirium screening result data for the PICUs now screening. We will contact the units involved with more information.

The PICANet State of the Nation Report 2023, covering the January 2020 – December 2022 data collection period, is due to be published on the reports page of our website on 14th December 2023. Please keep a look out! In the meantime you can explore the Data Dashboard for the first insights into PICU activity and performance against PICANet’s clinically agreed key metrics in 2022.

A soft collection of data for delirium and two healthcare associated infections is available in the PICU Admission dataset from today, the 3rd May 2023. Collection of these data is not mandatory in 2023. Resources and FAQ to support the collection are available on the Data Collection and Data Manuals and Guidance webpages.

The PICANet State of the Nation Report 2022, covering the period January 2019 – December 2021, is planned to be published on our website on 9th March 2023. Please keep a look out!
We regret that at this time PICANet are taking a temporary pause on processing new requests for data while we focus on completing the key deliverables for the national clinical audit. This is a short term measure which we will continue to review. We will resume as soon as practicably possible.
