PICANet University Closure

Welcome to our New Look Web site

PICANet have moved to a different web host. This shouldn’t change anything from a user perspective, however you may notice we have had a bit of a face lift.

If you can’t find what you’re looking for please contact the team by sending us a message (click here).

All our usual information about PICANet, our resources as well as information on associated groups and organisations is still there, it may have just moved as we updated the website structure.

We’ve done this in the hope it makes our website easier to navigate and use.

We hope you enjoy using our new website.

Update PICANet Contacts

Each year PICANet updates its contacts for those associated with the audit.

An email of organisation contacts have been send to the unit or CTS Lead and Primary contacts to update.

If however, you know your details have changed since March 2017, please contact the team to update your individual contact information picanet@leeds.ac.uk

If you have any questions please get in touch on 0113 343 8125

Please check PICANet’s privacy statement in line with the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) in our Policies and Procedures section

Information for Patients and Families

The information collected and published by PICANet can help parents, carers and others gain an insight and understanding about the activity of the paediatric intensive care service within the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.

PICANet brings together health professionals, parents and carers with experience of paediatric intensive care, to work together to improve services for the family.

These pages provide links to information and organisations that may provide additional support and information for families caring for a sick child at the time of or following an admission to paediatric intensive care.

Does my child have to be included?

If you do not want information which could identify your child included in PICANet, please tell the nurse or doctor caring for your child. They will make sure your child’s confidential information is not sent to PICANet. Your decision will not alter the care your child receives in this or any other hospital.

If you have left hospital and decide that you do not want information which could identify your child included in PICANet and would like to withdraw any information, please call us directly at PICANet on 0113 3438125 or email picanet@leeds.ac.uk.
