PICANet web is now operational with all features now restored.

As you may be aware, PICANet scheduled a period of database downtime on 21/02/2019 to apply some essential security updates the database servers. Whilst we would have liked to avoid this time of year when users are busy preparing their data for the data freeze at the end of March, unfortunately the upgrades needed to be implemented by the end of March to ensure compliance with NHS Digital’s new Data Security and Protection Toolkit.

The security update was successful, however, it introduced some compatibility issues which limited the ability of users to save and upload records and has resulted in a prolonged downtime.

We would like to thank you for your patience and understanding over the last few days. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused.

PICANet server to remain offline overnight

The essential server maintenance planned for today (Thursday 21st February 2019) is still ongoing and as such PICANet Web is not yet accessible.

The server team are continuing to work to restore service as quickly as possible and we will notify all users once the work is complete.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused, the situation will be reviewed tomorrow.

PICANet WEB shutdown 21/02/2019

Due to essential maintenance PICANet WEB application will not be available available for users to input data on 21st February 2019.

This maintenance should be completed and PICANet WEB reopen by the 22nd February.

PICANet Office Move

Please be aware that during the week commencing 14th January 2019, both PICANet teams at Leicester and Leeds will be moving offices in their respective institutes. This may cause a delay in replying to your queries and a reduction in support availability. Please contact PICANet team by the usual means and we will respond as soon as possible. We apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

PICANet University Closure

PICANet team and IT services and support will not be available for the duration of the University holidays which run 21st December-  2nd January 2019.

PICANet will respond to any queries left during this time when the facilities reopen in the new year.

PICANet have moved to a different web host. This shouldn’t change anything from a user perspective, however you may notice we have had a bit of a face lift.
